Keeping Pet Turf Looking Good
Pet turf needs less upkeep than a natural lawn, but it isn’t zero-maintenance. Solid waste should be picked up the same way you would on grass and a regular rinse plus an occasional power-broom grooming keeps the fibers standing upright and the infill doing its job. Over time, infill naturally settles and needs topping off. How much does pet turf installation cost?
It depends on the size of the area, the base and drainage work needed, and the product you choose, so we don’t publish flat rates. What we can tell you is that estimates are free, there’s no project minimum, and every quote comes from an in-person measurement, not a guess over the phone.
Does artificial turf get too hot for dogs in the summer?
Turf can run warmer than grass on a direct-sun afternoon, same as a driveway or deck would. Product choice, infill type, and shade in the yard all affect how much heat builds up, and we talk through that during the site visit so there aren’t surprises once it’s installed.
Will pet turf smell like urine?
Not if it’s built right. Proper drainage underneath the turf and the right infill are what actually control odor, not the turf fibers themselves. That’s why we don’t treat pet installations the same as a standard residential lawn.
